Shillington cleared of Origin high shot

Queensland prop David Shillington has escaped a charge over his high shot on NSW centre Josh Morris in Wednesday night’s State of Origin decider.

Shillington was placed on report in the 77th minute for his contact with Morris, who was rattled by the collision.

The match review panel cleared the Canberra forward to play against Melbourne at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.

Shillington will join the Raiders for their final training session on Friday morning, when he’ll be assessed by club medical staff.

“At this stage he will take his place in the team to take on the Storm on Saturday night,” the Raiders website reported.
