Canberra have finally secured a recruiting coup with the signature of Gold Coast five-eighth Aidan Sezer for three NRL seasons starting in 2016.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has struggled to lure talent to the nation’s capital.
But on Friday the club announced they had signed the 23-year-old to a three-year deal, beating out Manly for his services.
“Aidan is a fantastic young talent who we are excited about joining the club next season and we believe he will fit in perfectly to the squad we are building for the future,” Raiders boss Don Furner said.
“We wish him all the best for the rest of the season with the Gold Coast and look forward to seeing him in Canberra for the start of the 2016 pre-season.”
