Matt Scott will not play in North Queensland’s NRL grand final against Melbourne on Sunday, Cowboys coach Paul Green has confirmed.
Scott is expected to be named in the Cowboys’ 21-man squad on Tuesday, but Green says he will only return from a knee injury if one of their forward pack goes down injured this week.
“The 17 guys that got us to the grand final will be the 17 guys that will play next weekend,” Green said.
