Newcastle backrower Beau Scott will return from an ankle injury against Manly on Sunday.
Knights coach Rick Stone confirmed on Monday the bruising forward will be a crucial inclusion after missing the last three NRL games, all of which Newcastle have lost.
Scott limped off the field with an ankle ligament injury in the second half of their round-five defeat to St George-Illawarra, which ended a four-game winning start to the season.
The 30-year-old has two games to impress NSW Origin coach Laurie Daley before he picks his side for game one against Queensland.
