Ryles in doubt for Storm NRL final

Melbourne prop Jason Ryles is in doubt for Friday’s NRL preliminary final against Manly after aggravating his troublesome hamstring at training.

Ryles was named in a 20-man squad to make his return against the Sea Eagles at AAMI Park but suffered a setback on Tuesday night.

The 32-year-old has not played since the Storm’s round 25 win over Cronulla late last month due to the hamstring injury.

Melbourne told AAP that it was too early to say how bad the injury was and that Ryles would be assessed on Thursday.

“He had a setback at training last night and his situation will be reviewed in the morning,” said Storm football operations boss Frank Ponissi.
