The Sydney Roosters will rest NSW Origin captain Boyd Cordner from Sunday’s NRL match with the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown.
Cordner has endured a heavy workload over the past fortnight after he backed up his Blues performance in Origin I with an 80-minute effort against Brisbane last Saturday.
It’s understood there are no injury concerns for the backrower, and he will be replaced by Ryan Matterson in the starting side, with Kane Evans joining the side off the bench.
The struggling Tigers will play their Origin stars Aaron Woods and James Tedesco.
