The Sydney Roosters have been dealt another significant blow, with co-captain Jake Friend breaking his hand at training.
Hooker Friend will undergo surgery on Wednesday and miss up to four weeks of NRL action in recovery.
It comes a day after the club confirmed they had lost fullback Michael Gordon to a pectoral injury for up to eight weeks.
