Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson claims it would be unprecedented for Mitchell Pearce to be rubbed out of the NRL over his Australia Day antics.
Robinson declined to put a figure on what he feels is an appropriate punishment for Pearce, with Roosters powerbrokers to meet with the NRL on the issue.
Robinson on Wednesday fronted the media for the first time since Pearce’s return from a rehabilitation facility in Thailand, with the Roosters and the NRL at loggerheads over the length of a suspension.
