Roberts wants to be Titans’ playmaker

Tyrone Roberts has declared he wants a starting position in the halves for Gold Coast, despite Titans coach Neil Henry having already indicated he could be used as a utility in 2017.

With young star Kane Elgey returning from injury and Ashley Taylor winning the NRL’s rookie of the year award last season, Roberts has a fight on his hands to retain the No.6 jersey he wore in 2016.

“That’s one of my goals. I think I had a good year last year and I want to back that up,” Roberts said.
