Shane Richardson will depart his post as head of game strategy and development at the NRL to return to South Sydney.
Richardson, who resigned as Rabbitohs chief executive early last year to join the NRL, was responsible for drafting the game’s elite pathway blueprint, which was released in December.
He will return in the newly created position of general manager at South Sydney, with the transition expected to take place in the next 60 days.
