Reynolds ruled out of Rabbitohs’ NRL trial

Halfback Adam Reynolds has been ruled out of South Sydney’s NRL trial against the Titans on the Gold Coast.

He has been rested for precautionary reasons after scans on Monday cleared the No.7 of a fractured foot following the All Stars game.

Luke Keary returns from a hip complaint to slot into halfback, combining with new pivot Cody Walker.

The Saturday night match marks the return of dual international Sam Burgess, who plays his first NRL game since the 2014 grand final after an English rugby stint.

Meanwhile, Gold Coast’s halfback jinx has struck again, with Daniel Mortimer replacing injured No.7 Ash Taylor (shoulder) in the starting line-up.

Taylor had earned No.1 halfback status at the Titans after Kane Elgey (knee) broke down in the pre-season.
