Cronulla halfback Jeff Robson has urged the NRL club to re-sign skipper Paul Gallen as soon as possible.

Off-contract at season’s end, Gallen is keen to stick with the Sharks for one more season.

But negotiations with Sharks management under new boss Lyall Gorman are moving slowly.

Robson said Gallen, who is in his 15th season with the club, deserves to see out his NRL career with Cronulla.

“He is a one club man, he loves the place and it would be great to see him stay,” Robson said.

Gallen has previously indicated he wants one more year with Cronulla, before moving to the Super League to finish his career.
