Radradra’s $200,000 union bonus: report

Semi Radradra will reportedly earn an extra $200,000 per season after tax if he accepts a deal to head to French rugby union with Bordeaux.

The Parramatta winger has been offered $463,860 a season to join the club according to News Corp Australia, with the French tax rate meaning only eight per cent of that would be deducted.

By comparison, Radradra loses 46 per cent of his reported $375,000 NRL salary to tax.

It’s understood the 24-year-old was one of three wingers offered a deal by Bordeaux at the start of the season, however the other two have since accepted jobs elsewhere.

The offer is still on the table and the rugby club are said to be happy for Radradra to see out the 2016 NRL season before joining them.

Meanwhile Fiji’s national coach hasn’t ruled the destructive ball runner out of representing the country at the 2019 World Cup.

Radradra is still to return to Sydney to train with the Eels ahead of Saturday’s clash with Cronulla.

He was given leave over the bye weekend to fly home to Fiji and was meant to return on Sunday, however that has now been extended to Wednesday.
