Quinn cops one-game NRL ban

Melbourne NRL winger Anthony Quinn will miss one match after pleading guilty to two separate high tackle charges.

Quinn was charged with identical grade one careless high tackles infringements over two hits on Newcastle centre Junior Sa’u in last Friday’s win over the Knights, the combined penalty resulting in the veteran back missing Sunday’s match against North Queensland.

The five other players charged from the weekend’s round – Reni Maitua, Michael Crocker, James Tamou, Shaun Berrigan and Gold Coast’s Bodene Thompson also took the early guilty plea – but all are free to play.
