Queensland have played down concerns for Corey Oates after illness hampered the winger at training at their Gold Coast camp on Sunday.
Oates was largely restricted to solo light duties due to a stomach bug but the Maroons were confident the lanky flyer would run out in Wednesday night’s Origin I at Suncorp Stadium.
“He’s got a stomach virus and just doesn’t want to give it to anyone – I know he’ll be right for Wednesday night,” Maroons winger Dane Gagai said.
