Penrith Panthers vs New Zealand Warriors 2013 NRL Round 10 preview and tips

Penrith are coming off the high of beating Melbourne last Monday night, their third win of the season and their second win in the past three weeks.

Three first half tries were enough for the Panthers to hold on to a 12-10 win and with another home game on Saturday night, expect a strong and vocal crowd looking for win number four.

Should the Penrith forwards, who’ll meet an equally big pack this week, be able to get the upper hand such as they did over Melbourne and allow Luke Walsh to direct his outside backs, the fourth win is well within their reach.

Especially coming up against a side whose momentum isn’t has strong as Penrith’s, despite some very good performances in the past month.

The Warriors have only won one of their past five matches (1 point win over the Cowboys) but haven’t been defeated by more than 10 points in their losses to Souths, Canberra (in Canberra), Melbourne (in Melbourne) and Canterbury last week where they surrendered a sixteen nil lead.

Last week’s win would have hurt and they now face a Panther’s side with their tails up, it’ll be another tough game for the Warriros but one that they can win.

New Zealand hold a 4-1 record over Penrith in recent times with none of these games producing a total match point tally in excess of 38 points.
