Playmaker Mitchell Pearce appears set to return for the Sydney Roosters in their must-win NRL semi-final against Canterbury on Friday.
Captain Jake Friend said on Monday that NSW Origin halfback Pearce’s was progressing well in his recovery from a hamstring injury and was telling teammates he would be ready to take on the Dogs at Allianz Stadium.
Back-rower Boyd Cordner said he was a certainty to also line up despite suffering a hip injury during the first half of Friday’s qualifying final loss to Melbourne.
