Pearce ruled out for 4 months with injury

Mitchell Pearce will spend up to four months on the sideline after scans confirmed he has a ruptured pectoral muscle.

Pearce left the field late in Newcastle’s NRL win over the Wests Tigers on Saturday night and he requires surgery on the muscle.

The injury will rule him out for 16 weeks, meaning he will miss the entire State of Origin series for NSW and the majority of the Knights’ season.
