The Parramatta Eels are currently priced at $7.00 in head to head betting with online bookmaker sportsbet for Saturday night’s clash with Manly and are odds on to start the game at the biggest price of any side this season.
With three days still to go until the game and factoring in the last surge expected for Manly, who are currently at $1.10, the Eels are likely to kick-off the match priced at more than the $10 the Wests Tigers did when they were flogged by the Rabbitohs in round 10.
The Eels have already hit double figures in head to head betting this season, reaching the mark in their previous battle with Manly back in round 17, while the Dragons also hit $10 before they ended up beating Souths last Monday.
“As it stands, the line gives the Eels an 18.5 point head start. There’s very little doubt that that will be well over 20 come kick off and the Eels head to head price will balloon past $10,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.
“We’re also taking wagers on who’ll be next to win a game out of the Eels, GWS Giants and the Aussie Test cricket side. The winless GWS are tipped to win a game before the Eels win their next one.”
Sportsbet.com.au, who has paid out early on the Eels finishing with the spoon two years in a row, has priced the Eels at $3.25 to run last in season 2014. The Eels were paying $5.50 to run last in 2013.
