NSW Blues clear cut favourites to end State of Origin drought

The NSW Blues are clear-cut $1.40 favourites with Sportingbet Australia to end their seven year State of Origin series drought and win the 2013 series. It’s the shortest price NSW has been to win an Origin series since they claimed victory in game 1 in 2008.

Queensland’s odds of an 8th successive series victory have drifted from $1.80 out to $2.95 with Sportingbet.

“The Blues obviously deserve series favouritism now that they are one up but 2008 is a good reminder that you can never write off the Maroons,” Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said.

Queensland will head into game 2 at Suncorp Stadium on June 26 as favourites and have already been supported from $1.75 into $1.72 with Sportingbet. The Blues are $2.15.

New South Wales is $2.05 to win the series 2-1 or $3.85 to make a 3-0 series sweep.
