NRL want to see alleged cocaine video

The NRL integrity unit wants to see footage that allegedly shows a Brisbane player taking cocaine to determine if they need to investigate the matter.

However the game’s governing body says it won’t pay to see the footage, which has been shopped around to media outlets for $70,000.

“The integrity unit will make inquiries about where we can obtain the film,” an NRL spokesman told News Corp Australia.

“Now we are more aware of it, we will certainly ask as part of a normal investigation if we can see it and make our own inquiries.”

However if the NRL are unable to get their hands on the footage, they say they will have to trust the Broncos’ advice that there is “no need to take it any further”.

The footage, which appears to be recorded within a toilet cubicle of a Sydney pub, is believed to have been taken following the Broncos’ 40-14 loss to Canterbury on June 25.
