TAB has refunded bets on Brett Morris in their Top Try Scorer and All-time Try Scorer markets following the star winger’s season ending knee injury.
The Roosters flyer was $4.00 favourite to finish leading try scorer at the start of Round 8 and on track to break the 30 tries barrier, having crossed the chalk 11 times already this year. TAB had also framed a specialty market for the possibility that he could even eclipse the legendary Ken Irvine’s all-time mark of 212.
Morris will finish on 176 tries in 276 games for the Dragons, Bulldogs and Roosters if the knee injury forces the 34-year old into retirement.
Souths winger Alex Johnston is the new Top Try Scorer favourite with TAB.
