Latrell Mitchell’s suspension and the Storm’s surprise defeat by Parramatta has triggered plenty of movement in TAB’s NRL Premiership market.
South Sydney have drifted from $5.50 to $9 and been replaced by Manly ($7) as third favourite, with Mitchell’s season over following his hit on Roosters Centre Joseph Manu. The Roosters loss and another big name injury has seen them blow out from $17 to $34, although they have still opened as $1.65 favourites against Canberra on Thursday night.
Melbourne maintain Premiership favouritism but have drifted from $2.25 to $2.40 after their record-equalling winning streak was ended by Parramatta ($26). With the Minor Premiership still up for grabs, the Storm have been priced at $1.37 favourites in their final round match against Cronulla who are $3.10.
Penrith have tightened from $3.25 into $2.75 as the best backed team to win the title.
The battle for the last spot in the finals is down to Cronulla, Canberra and Gold Coast with the Sharks $1.65 favourites over the Raiders at $3 and the Titans at $7.50 in TAB’s Final Eight market.
