With a close eye being kept on Tom Trbojevic’s cheekbone injury TAB has eased Manly from $8 back to $9 in the Premiership market.
The Sea Eagles had reached single figure odds for the first time this season after their thumping win over Parramatta and are still $1.48 favourites for Friday’s Round 23 clash with Canberra despite the Raiders shortening from $2.75 into $2.65 with Trbojevic out.
Manly are $1.75 to make the Top Four ahead of the Roosters ($2.05), who are currently in fourth place, and Parramatta who have blown out to $17 in that market and $51 to win the Premiership. They were $8.50 to claim the title with TAB six weeks ago.
Round 23 will be crucial in the battle for the two remaining spots in the finals with Newcastle $1.15 favourites in the Final Eight market, while Gold Coast ($1.70) and Canberra ($2.25) face tough opposition in Melbourne and Manly respectively, and the Sharks ($9) and Warriors ($10) have been installed as favourites for their games against the Tigers and Broncos.
