The Raiders might be long odds with TAB to beat Parramatta on Thursday night but they’re surprisingly better backed than the Eels to win the title.

While the top six appears settled and TAB has paid out on the top four already, the race for the final two spots in the NRL finals is heating up with ninth placed Canberra the biggest mover following wins over Manly and Cronulla.

The Raiders have been cut from $126 into $41 to win the competition and are actually more popular in the Premiership betting than both the Eels and Sea Eagles and rival the Roosters as the fourth best backed side in the market.

Round 19 could be critical for those with top eight aspirations, with Canberra $4.80 outsiders to Parramatta at $1.17 while the longest priced favourite for the weekend is Gold Coast at $1.53 against the Dragons who are $2.45.
