The NRL has reduced Parramatta’s fine for salary cap breaches by $60,000 after considering the club’s appeal.
The Eels in May were fined $525,000 for exceeding all four salary cap categories last year by more than $400,000.
However, their penalty has been reduced to $465,000 after putting forward a clarification of aspects of their second-tier payments.
The club is still facing the loss of four competition points next year unless it undertakes an independent governance review.
