NRL Odds and Betting Preview – 2022

Manly, Parramatta, North Queensland and Wests Tigers appear to be the big losers following the release of the 2022 NRL draw with their odds immediately drifting in TAB’s Premiership market, while the likes of Melbourne, the Roosters, Souths and Cronulla all firmed following the schedule’s unveiling.

Penrith remain favourites to secure back-to-back titles with TAB at $5, just ahead of the Storm who have shortened from $6 into $5.50.

The Panthers face Manly in next year’s season opener with the Sea Eagles having moved from $7.50 to $8.50 and been replaced on the third line of betting by the Roosters who are $8 into $7.50.

In other points of note:

  • Wests Tigers, who start their campaign against the Storm, have joined St George Illawarra with the longest odds to win the Premiership at $51, having blown out from $41. They’re joint $3.50 favourites to finish the season with the Most Losses.
  • The Eels drifted from $13 to $15, the Titans from $17 to 19 and the Cowboys from $34 to $41, but the Sharks tightened from $21 to $17.
  • The Broncos opened as $3.10 outsiders for Adam Reynolds’ first match against his old club South Sydney who are $1.37 favourites. (Prices for Round 1 below)
