The Penrith Panthers will look to continue their resurgence as they head north to Queensland Country Bank Stadium to face the North Queensland Cowboys on Saturday night. In their previous meeting this season, the Cowboys caused an upset, defeating the four-time reigning premiers at CommBank Stadium. This time, however, North Queensland will be without key player Reuben Cotter, who is serving a two-match suspension for a high hit on Marata Niukore in their loss to the Warriors. Sam McIntyre steps into his role, with Thomas Mikaele added to the bench.

Penrith enters the match buoyed by their best performance of the season, a dominant 32-8 win over the Broncos during Magic Round. However, they’ve struggled to string together consecutive victories this year. The Panthers will be boosted by the return of Mitch Kenny from suspension and Brad Schneider and Brian To’o from injury. To’o, in particular, has a strong record against the Cowboys, scoring seven tries in six matches against them.
