North Queensland Cowboys vs Penrith Panthers Preview

The Penrith Panthers are aiming to build on their recent form as they travel to Queensland Country Bank Stadium to face the North Queensland Cowboys on Saturday night. Earlier this season, the Cowboys pulled off an upset, defeating the four-time defending premiers at CommBank Stadium. However, North Queensland will be without key player Reuben Cotter, who is serving a two-match suspension for a high tackle on Marata Niukore in their loss to the Warriors. Sam McIntyre will take his place, with Thomas Mikaele joining the bench.

Penrith enters the clash riding high after a commanding 32-8 victory over the Broncos in Magic Round, their best performance of the season. Despite that, they’ve struggled to maintain momentum with back-to-back wins this year. The Panthers will also welcome back Mitch Kenny from suspension, alongside Brad Schneider and Brian To’o, who have recovered from injury. To’o, in particular, has a strong record against the Cowboys, having scored seven tries in six appearances against them.
