Canberra fullback Jack Wighton is free to get on with his NRL career after being handed a two-month suspended jail sentence for assaulting five men.
The 25-year-old appeared for sentencing on Wednesday after pleading guilty to assault charges stemming from a wild night out in February.
After being fined and suspended by the NRL this year, chief executive Todd Greenberg says Wighton will receive no further sanctions from the game’s governing body.
