Queensland Cup rugby league player Francis Molo has arrived at the Brisbane Coroners Court to testify at the inquest into the death of forward James Ackerman.

Mr Ackerman, 25, died in hospital two days after he was shoulder charged by Mr Molo during a June 2015 game.

The inquest heard on Tuesday that Mr Ackerman’s fatal brain injury was so rare a forensic pathologist of 20 years had only seen it two other times, both in motor vehicle accident victims.
