Moa charged, set to cop one-game ban

Sydney Roosters forward Sam Moa is set to miss one NRL game for his contact with a match official in the tri-colours’ last-gasp win over the Warriors on Saturday.

Moa was handed a grade-one contrary conduct charge by the NRL match review committee on Monday for contact with referee Gavin Reynolds early in the match.

In the incident, the 29-year-old New Zealand international appeared to place his hands on Reynolds’ shoulders following his disallowed try in the fourth minute.

Even with an early guilty plea Moa would miss the Roosters’ game with St George Illawarra next Monday night because he has carry-over points.
