Preview:

Melbourne take on Parramatta on Sunday, 3.00pm at AAMI Park. This is one of the more one-sided clashes this weekend, with the Storm expected to win here easily.
The only thing the Eels have left to play for is trying to avoid back to back wooden spoons, and even that is looking unlikely. Parramatta have not won in Melbourne since
2005, and that doesn’t look like changing this weekend.

Teams:

Melbourne Storm:
Billy Slater, Sisa Waqa, Will Chambers, Maurice Blair, Justin O’Neill, Brett Finch, Cooper Cronk, Jesse Bromwich, Cameron Smith, Bryan Norrie, Kevin Proctor, Ryan Hoffman, Ryan Hinchcliffe. Interchange: Jason Ryles, Tohu Harris, Jordan McLean, Kenneath Bromwich

Parramatta Eels:
Jake Mullaney, Ken Sio, Ryan Morgan, Vai Toutai, Semi Radradra, Ben Roberts, Luke Kelly, Tim Mannah, Matt Keating, Fuifui Moimoi, Reni Maitua, Mitch Allgood, Darcy Lussick. Interchange: Junior Paulo, Joseph Paulo, Peni Terepo, Pat O’Hanlon, Daniel Harrison

Sandow checks into rehab clinic

Parramatta halfback Chris Sandow checked into a rehabilitation facility on Tuesday as he aims to get his life and NRL career back on track.

Believed to be the same facility Wallabies utility Kurtley Beale and Canterbury superstar Ben Barba attended to help deal with personal problems, the Eels said there had been no time frame put on Sandow’s return to the club.

With just three weeks remaining in the regular season, it seems unlikely Sandow will be sighted again in the blue and gold until 2014.

In a statement issued by the club, the Eels said a return to the football field was not the club’s main concern.

“The club’s primary focus is caring for the welfare of Chris and his family both at this time and moving forward,” the statement said.

“We would please ask that everyone respect the privacy of Chris and his family during this time.”

Sandow has not been sighted in the NRL since being dropped following Parramatta’s 50-10 defeat to Manly on July 8.
