AFTER a devastating opening half of play, Melbourne has secured the first berth in the 2020 NRL grand final and are $1.80 favourites at TAB to win the 2020 premiership.
The Storm were $2.75 to win this season’s title before they brushed aside Canberra 30-10 in their preliminary final at Suncorp Stadium and now await tomorrow night’s winner of the second grand final qualifier between Penrith and Souths at ANZ Stadium.
Melbourne were $6.50 before the start of this season to win the premiership and got out to as much as $8 before the commencement of Round 7 with one TAB punter placing $20,000 at $4 on August 31 for a potential $80,000 collect.
The majority of TAB customers backed the Storm to account for the Raiders this evening with one punter placing $25,000 at $1.48 two days ago on Melbourne to win.
Bets of $22,000 and $15,000 at $1.47 were placed today on the Storm to defeat the Raiders.
