Test forward Matt Gillett has been ruled out of Brisbane’s NRL clash with the Sydney Roosters on Thursday night after failing to recover from a shoulder injury.
Jaydn Su’A has been called into the 17 after Gillett – who has not played since July 1 – failed to convince Broncos coach Wayne Bennett he was ready to return.
Sixth-placed Brisbane have also been hit by suspensions to Test forwards Sam Thaiday and Josh McGuire this week.
