Injury has put milestone match celebrations on hold for St George Illawarra playmaker Benji Marshall.

Marshall was set to play his 250th NRL game when the Dragons take on Gold Coast at Jubilee Oval but he will miss the Friday night match because of a hamstring injury.

Josh McCrone is likely to come into the halves to partner Gareth Widdop for the Dragons, who will also be without Josh Dugan because of a fractured jaw.
