Manly forward Darcy Lussick has no interest in the salary cap dramas that continue to plague his former NRL club Parramatta, the latest of which include allegations of an illegal payment into an overseas bank account.

Fresh allegations emerged on Monday of more salary cap impropriety at the Eels.

Fairfax Media reported English import Lee Mossop received extra payments from Parramatta into an overseas bank account after his time at the club.

Lussick was at Parramatta with Mossop in 2014.

Ahead of Thursday night’s match between the Sea Eagles and Eels at Brookvale, the former City Origin prop said it wasn’t an issue for him when asked if he was aware of what was going on at the Eels behind the scenes in his time at the club.

“I am not there anymore so it has nothing to do with me, so I don’t care,” Lussick told reporters at Manly’s Narrabeen training base.

Lussick said his former teammates have become immune to the continual off-field speculation.

“It’s nothing to do with me, but the players there are dealing with that sort of stuff every day, so it won’t affect them,” he said.

“There always seems to be something coming out about what is going on with the club and players and the coaching staff are good at blocking it out so there it no way it will be an issue for them.”

In a further twist to the Eels’ salary cap scandal, former chief executive Scott Seward and former team manager Jason Irvine paid $50,000 into Mossop’s English bank account, according to Fairfax Media.

Shoulder injuries meant Mossop played just three games for the club after joining in 2014, before his release was secured over the 2015 pre-season.

At that point the NRL was told he was paid a $35,000 release fee, however an email trail between Seward, Irvine and Mossop’s manager Wayne Beavis allegedly shows an extra payment was also made.

“A further $50k will be paid direct to Lee’s UK bank account I understand to wrap the matter up,” Mr Beavis wrote in one email.

There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing from Mossop or his manager, while Seward and Irvine no longer work for the club.
