The Sea Eagles toughed out a 14 – 12 win against the Rabbithos last week, their first win of the season.
It was a strong win by the Sea Eagles who were without fullback Brett Stewart and his brother Glenn, who withdrew just prior to kick-off, and under pressure after last week’s capitulation against Melbourne.

Manly’s left-hand side attack was again quickly in gear with winger Cheyse Blair on the end of some good work from centre Steve Matai, crossing for the opening points of the match in the sixth minute.
It was a real arm-wrestle for the remainder of the first half with neither side able to assert their authority due to uncharacteristic mistakes.

The Eels were never in the hunt and conceded ten tries.
Whatever confidence Parra had taken from round 1, was completely wiped away last week and now the trip Brookvale, were the Eels were defeated by 40 points last year, looms ominously on the horizon.
In their two games last year, Manly scored 90 points to the Eels’ 16 and with Stewart back and their left-hand attack of Manly in good form, anything other than a comfortably Manly win would surprise.
