South Sydney coach Michael Maguire had addressed his players to quash rumours he could be heading to Newcastle next season.
A day after Souths chairman Nick Pappas doused any speculation Maguire would be leaving Redfern despite having two years left on his contract, Rabbitohs players revealed the premiership-winning mentor had put such talk to bed.
Rabbitohs back-rower Kyle Turner said on Tuesday Maguire had told his players he would see out his current contract with the NRL club.
