Low-key Manly Nines squad named

Manly fans will have to wait a little longer to see their big-name recruits in action after coach Trent Barrett named a low-key squad for the Auckland Nines.

Former Wests Tigers flyer Tim Moltzen is the only notable newcomer to feature in the Sea Eagles squad to be captained by prop Jake Trbojevic.

Off-season signings Nate Myles, Dylan Walker and Martin Taupau will have to wait until the pre-season trials to make their Sea Eagles debut.

Daly Cherry-Evans and former Panther Lewis Brown were also conspicuous by their absence in the 18-strong squad for this weekend’s tournament at Eden Park.

Besides Moltzen, new recruits Nathan Green, Isaac John, Wof Lavaka and Matt Parcell will make their debut for Manly.

The squad also features Feleti Mateo and Jorge Taufua.
