North Queensland have been struck a blow ahead of their NRL semi-final against Brisbane with centre Kane Linnett ruled out.
Javid Bowen has been named to make his ninth first grade appearance after Linnett failed to overcome a torn calf muscle.
Meanwhile Canberra have named hooker Josh Hodgson (ankle) and five-eighth Blake Austin (broken hand) to take on Penrith but their classy No.9 remains in serious doubt.
