Coach Andrej Lemanis looks likely to be leaving the New Zealand Breakers, with the club due to make an announcement on Wednesday about their coaching team for next season.
Lemanis, with backing from the Breakers, applied for the vacant Australian Boomers job before guiding the club to their third consecutive Australian NBL title this month in his eighth season in charge.
Basketball Australia has not yet said who the successful applicant is and the Breakers are making no further comment ahead of their own announcement at a press conference on Wednesday morning.
One of Lemanis’ assistants, Dean Vickerman, is seen as his likely successor.
