Canberra centre Joey Leilua has his eyes set on a NSW State of Origin jumper – and he has the backing of NRL teammate Blake Austin.

Leilua has formed a formidable partnership with winger Jordan Rapana at the Raiders this season, something he hopes will translate into a representative call-up ahead of next month’s series opener.

“That was one of my goals this year, to get a Blues jersey. I’ve just got to play consistently, stay in this form and hopefully get picked,” he said on Monday.
