Klemmer fights torpedo tackle charge

Canterbury forward David Klemmer has pleaded not guilty to a torpedo tackle and will take his case to the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night.

The NSW Origin prop was hit with a grade two dangerous contact charge for a challenge on Melbourne’s Kenny Bromwich during Saturday’s trial at Belmore Sportsground.

He is risking a three-week suspension if found guilty.
