Widnes Vikings have released Australian prop John Kite from their 2012 Super League squad.
The former Canterbury Bulldogs and Melbourne forward made just 15 appearances for the Vikings in his first season in Super League.
The Vikings also announced they have released second-rower Kurt Haggerty.
Vikings director of rugby Paul Cullen said: “In sport decisions such as this have to be made. We thank both of the players concerned for their efforts in a Vikings shirt and wish them the best of luck in the next chapter of their careers.”
