New Zealand coach Stephen Kearney has squashed the prospect of recalling veteran NRL playmaker Benji Marshall for next week’s Anzac Test against Australia.

While he acknowledges Marshall has been in good form for the St George Illawarra Dragons, Kearney says he plans to remain loyal to the halves pair of Shaun Johnson and Kieran Foran who guided New Zealand to the Four Nations title last year.

Kearney understands Foran has overcome a hamstring injury but wants the five-eighth to prove that for Manly in their NRL match against Melbourne on Saturday.
