Kaufusi commits to Storm in new NRL deal

Melbourne have re-signed exciting young forward Felise Kaufusi until the end of the 2017 NRL season.

The Bundaberg junior made his first-grade debut in round one, playing 13 games this season in an important impact role off the bench.

The 23-year-old front-rower is in his second year with the Storm following three seasons with North Queensland.

Melbourne football director Frank Ponissi expressed delight at re-signing Kaufusi.

“Felise is a very good young player who we believe can play regular first-grade football,” Ponissi said.

“He attracted a number of other offers, so we are very pleased he has decided to stay with Melbourne Storm and the next two years allows the club to continue to develop him into a consistent NRL player.

“His signing is great news for Melbourne Storm for now and for the future.”
