Josh Morris is back in the NSW side for next week’s State of Origin III after making a speedy recovery from a knee injury.
He was named in coach Laurie Daley’s side on Tuesday for the Suncorp Stadium clash on July 9.
Morris suffered the injury, originally thought to be a season-ending one, in the Blues’ Game I win but bravely fought on to finish the match.
The Canterbury centre hasn’t played since but passed a fitness test under the watchful eye of Blues officials on Monday.
In one of three team changes forced on the Blues by injury, as they chase their first series clean sweep since 2000, Morris comes in for Sydney Roosters centre Michael Jennings who has a back problem.
Newcastle’s James McManus comes onto the right wing for Will Hopoate who injured his shoulder in the Blues’ Game II victory, which wrapped up their first series win since 2005.
Jennings’ premiership-winning teammate Boyd Cordner replaces the suspended Anthony Watmough on the NSW bench, after a solid return from an ankle injury in the Tricolours’ loss to Manly on Friday night.
NSW head to their Coffs Harbour base on Tuesday night.
