A 79th-minute try to Michael Jennings has helped NSW avoid a State of Origin cleansweep and given retiring skipper Paul Gallen a winning farewell.
The Blues looked headed for a whitewash when Queensland fullback Darius Boyd gave his team a 14-12 lead in the 75th minute.
However Jennings scored in the penultimate minute of the match, with Gallen slotting over a conversion to claim an 18-14 victory.
