Former Parramatta, Canterbury and Warriors centre Krisnan Inu is facing a long stint on the sidelines after being slugged with a dangerous throw charge by the Rugby Football League’s match-review panel.
Inu, who now plays for the Catalans Dragons in the Super League, has been charged with a grade D offence which carries a suspension of between three and five matches.
The former New Zealand international, who has been an ever-present for the French club since joining them from rugby union last June, was sin-binned for lifting and dropping Huddersfield prop Eorl Crabtree during his side’s 46-26 win over the Giants on Sunday.
It’s not the first time Inu has been in trouble for a dangerous throw – he pleaded guilty to spear tackling South Sydney’s Greg Inglis in 2013 – ann incident that saw him banned for five matches by the NRL.
